English hard rock band formed in London in 1969. Long-running lineup centered on Phil Mogg (vocals, 1969-2022) and Andy Parker (drums). Other key members included guitarist Michael Schenker (1973-1978, 1993-2003) — whose tenure defined the band's commercial peak — and bassist Pete Way (1969-1982).
Twenty-two studio albums between UFO 1 (1970) and Salentino Cuts (2017). Commercial peak: Phenomenon (1974), Force It (1975), Lights Out (1977), and the live Strangers in the Night (1979). Mogg retired in 2022 after the band's farewell tour; UFO is no longer a touring entity.
