Anglo-American rock supergroup formed in 1988. Lineup: George Harrison (1943-2001), Bob Dylan (b. 1941), Roy Orbison (1936-1988), Tom Petty (1950-2017), and Jeff Lynne (b. 1947). Each member adopted a "Wilbury" alias (Nelson, Lucky, Lefty, Charlie T. Jr., and Otis, respectively).
Released two studio albums: Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 (1988, 3x platinum, featuring "Handle with Care" and "End of the Line") and Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3 (1990, after Orbison's December 1988 death from a heart attack). Won the 1990 Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the first album.
