American folk-rock duo of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, originally formed as Tom & Jerry in Forest Hills, Queens in 1956. Active under the Simon & Garfunkel name from 1963 to 1970, with periodic reunion performances thereafter.
Five studio albums: Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. (1964), Sounds of Silence (1966), Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (1966), Bookends (1968), and Bridge over Troubled Water (1970). The final album sold over 25 million copies. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. The 1981 "Concert in Central Park" reunion drew an estimated 500,000 attendees.
