American singer, songwriter, and composer born January 27, 1968, in Eureka, California. Lead vocalist for Faith No More (1989-1998, 2009-present), Mr. Bungle (1985-2000, 2019-present), Tomahawk, Fantômas, and many other projects. Among the most stylistically versatile vocalists in modern rock — comfortable across heavy metal, funk, jazz, lounge, and experimental music.
Over 40 albums across his various projects. Co-founder of the Ipecac Recordings label (1999, with Greg Werckman). His six-octave vocal range and aggressive use of extended vocal techniques (screams, growls, falsetto, scatting) have influenced a generation of singers.
