American singer-songwriter born July 27, 1967, in Wiscasset, Maine. First gained attention as a member of the Blake Babies (1986-1991), later with the Juliana Hatfield Three (1992-1995), and as a solo artist since 1992.
Released over 20 solo studio albums and EPs. Best-known releases: Hey Babe (1992), Become What You Are (1993, as the Juliana Hatfield Three), and Bed (1998). Also a member of supergroup the Lemonheads (1993-1994) and Some Girls (2003-2007). Recent work includes tribute albums to Olivia Newton-John (2018) and the Police (2019).
