American guitarist, singer, and songwriter born November 20, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas. Member of the James Gang (1968-1971), the Eagles (1975-1980, 1994-present), and Barnstorm (1972-1974). Distinguished by his slide-guitar technique and his dry, self-deprecating sense of humor.
Released over a dozen solo albums between Barnstorm (1972) and Analog Man (2012). Best-known solo single: "Life's Been Good" (1978). Joined the Eagles for Hotel California (1976), contributing the title-track guitar solo. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles in 1998.
