American hardcore punk band formed in Los Angeles in 1979 by vocalist Keith Morris (formerly of Black Flag) and guitarist Greg Hetson (later of Bad Religion). Foundational to the early Los Angeles hardcore scene alongside Black Flag, the Germs, and X.
Six studio albums between 1980 and 1995, including Group Sex (1980), Wild in the Streets (1982), and Wonderful (1985). The band broke up in 1995; reformed in 2001 and again in 2019. Active intermittently into the 2020s.
