Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach: Seafront Thrills and a Wooden Classic

Next along the coast was the Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, sitting right on the seafront in Norfolk. Its crown jewel is the beloved wooden Scenic Railway, one of the classic coasters still operated with an onboard brakeman who rides along to control the train's speed, a wonderful piece of living amusement history.

We loved the seaside setting and the mix of vintage and modern rides packed into the park. It was a highlight of our East Anglia adventure and a great taste of the traditional British seaside.
