Oakwood: Riding Megafobia in the Heart of Wales

Next we made our way to Oakwood, tucked away near Narberth in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. As the largest theme park in Wales, Oakwood packed a surprising punch, and the star of the show was Megafobia, a fantastic wooden coaster that regularly ranks among the best "woodies" in Europe. Riding it in its home countryside was an absolute highlight.

We also got our fill of the park's other thrills, including Speed, an intense steel coaster, all set against the green rolling scenery of the Welsh countryside. Oakwood had a laid-back, welcoming feel that made it one of the pleasant surprises of the trip.
