Coney Beach: A Welsh Seaside Sunset Stop

On our way to the hotel after Chessington, we pointed the coach toward Wales and made an evening stop at Coney Beach in Porthcawl. This little seaside amusement park on the South Wales coast had that classic, breezy fairground charm, with the sea air and the lights making for a lovely end to a long travel day.

It was a fun bonus stop, the kind of unexpected treat that makes a road trip memorable. We wandered the midway, took in the coastal setting, and enjoyed a relaxed evening before pressing on toward the next park.
