Disneyland and Disney California Adventure

We kicked off our California adventure in Anaheim, spending the first several days of the trip at the Disneyland Resort. After flying from Pittsburgh into John Wayne Airport through Denver, we settled in and gave ourselves plenty of time to enjoy both parks. Disneyland itself was everything you'd hope for, the original park packed with classic attractions and that unmistakable Disney charm, and getting to experience it as a family with Preston made it all the more special.

Right next door, Disney California Adventure gave us a whole second park to explore, with its own set of rides, shows, and themed lands celebrating the Golden State. Having the two parks side by side meant we could bounce between them and really take our time, and those first few days set a magical tone for the rest of the week before we headed south down the coast.
