Canadian hard rock power trio formed in Mississauga, Ontario in 1975 by guitarist Rik Emmett, drummer Gil Moore, and bassist Mike Levine. Distinguished by Emmett's high-tenor vocals (alternating lead duties with Moore) and elaborate stage productions during their commercial peak.
Eight studio albums between Triumph (1976) and Surveillance (1987). Commercial peak: Allied Forces (1981, featuring "Magic Power" and "Fight the Good Fight"), Never Surrender (1983), and Thunder Seven (1984). Emmett departed in 1988 for a solo career; the band has reunited for select live appearances.
