American new wave band formed in Akron, Ohio in 1978. Long-running lineup centered on Patty Donahue (vocals, 1956-1996) and Chris Butler (guitar/songwriter). Distinguished by their wry, deadpan female-fronted songs about everyday life and the band's modest cult following.

Released two studio albums and an EP between Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful? (1982) and Bruiseology (1983). Best-known recordings: "I Know What Boys Like" (1982) and the perennial "Christmas Wrapping" (1981). Patty Donahue died in 1996 of lung cancer at age 40.
