American punk rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California in 1980. Long-running lineup since 1989: Dave Quackenbush (vocals), Warren Fitzgerald (guitar), Joe Escalante (bass), and Josh Freese (drums, since 1989). Escalante also operates Kung Fu Records, which has released material by Tsunami Bomb, the Ataris, the Living End, and others.
Ten studio albums starting with Peace Thru Vandalism (1982). Best-known releases include Hitler Bad, Vandals Good (1998), Look What I Almost Stepped In... (2000), and the popular Christmas-themed Oi to the World! (1996) — covered by No Doubt the following year. Drummer Josh Freese has played in dozens of major rock bands including Devo, Sting, Foo Fighters, and Nine Inch Nails.
