American instrumental surf rock band formed in San Francisco in 1989. Long-running lineup centered on "Bossman" Mel Bergman (drums) and other costumed performers. Distinguished by their masked stage presentation (the band performs in luchador-style masks) and throwback 1960s instrumental surf style.
Released six studio albums between Skaterhater (1991) and Skatin' the Dimension (1998). Released primarily on Estrus Records and Lookout! Records.
