American doom metal band formed in Potomac, Maryland in 1976 (originally as Warhorse). Long-running lineup centered on Scott "Wino" Weinrich (vocals/guitar). Distinguished as foundational to the early American doom metal scene alongside Pentagram and the Saint Vitus.
Released four studio albums between The Obsessed (1990) and Sacred (2017). Wino has also led Saint Vitus (1986-1991), Spirit Caravan (1996-2002), the Hidden Hand (2003-2007), and Premonition 13.
