American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1998. Long-running lineup centered on Brody Dalle (vocals/guitar, b. 1979, Australian). Distinguished by Dalle's raspy vocals and the band's fusion of melodic hardcore with punk and rock.
Released three studio albums between The Distillers (2000) and Coral Fang (2003) before going on hiatus. Reunited in 2017 for touring; no new studio album has been released since the reunion. Dalle has subsequently led Spinnerette.
