Recording project of Elvis Costello (b. Declan Patrick MacManus, August 25, 1954, Paddington, London). The "Costello Show" name was used for the album King of America (1986), credited to "The Costello Show featuring the Attractions and Confederates," Costello's first album without the full Attractions backing band as his primary support.
King of America featured James Burton (guitar), Jerry Scheff (bass), and Ron Tutt (drums) — Elvis Presley's TCB Band — along with T Bone Burnett as co-producer. Critical peak of Costello's mid-1980s output.
