American hip-hop group formed in Los Angeles in 1991. Lineup: J-Ro (James Robinson), Tash (Rico Smith), and DJ E-Swift (Eric Brooks). Associated with the West Coast underground hip-hop scene of the 1990s, with King Tee as an early mentor and frequent collaborator.
Four studio albums between 21 & Over (1993) and Firewater (2006). Best-known releases include Coast II Coast (1995) and Likwidation (1997). Released primarily on Loud and Loud/RCA. The group has been on extended hiatus while members pursue solo work.
