British blues-rock band formed in Nottingham in 1966. Long-running lineup historically centered on Alvin Lee (vocals/guitar, 1944-2013). Distinguished by Lee's lightning-fast lead guitar work and his iconic performance of "I'm Going Home" at the original 1969 Woodstock festival.

Released 12 studio albums between Ten Years After (1967) and Naturally Live (2018). Commercial peak: Cricklewood Green (1970), Watt (1970), A Space in Time (1971, featuring "I'd Love to Change the World"), and Rock & Roll Music to the World (1972). Alvin Lee left the band in 1974 and intermittently reunited; he died in 2013 of unforeseen complications during a routine surgery.
