American rock band formed in Newport Beach, California in 1986. Long-running lineup centered on Mark McGrath (vocals). Began as a funk-metal band before pivoting to a brightly pop-oriented sound on Floored (1997).
Released eight studio albums between Lemonade and Brownies (1995) and Little Yachty (2019). Commercial peak: Floored (1997, featuring the breakthrough "Fly"), 14:59 (1999, featuring "Every Morning" and "Someday"), and Sugar Ray (2001). McGrath has since hosted Extra and various reality TV productions.
