American singer born June 30, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York. Lead vocalist for Journey (1998-2006), replacing Steve Perry, before being replaced by Arnel Pineda. Distinguished by his Perry-like tenor that allowed Journey to continue touring the classic catalog.
Prior to Journey, Augeri sang for Tall Stories (1988-1991) and Tyketto (1995-1996). Has subsequently led a solo touring band and the Steve Augeri Band, performing Journey-era material and his earlier work.
