American rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996. Long-running lineup historically centered on Josey Scott (vocals, until 2011, returned 2024) and Wayne Swinny (guitar, 1971-2023). Distinguished by their hybrid hip-hop-influenced post-grunge / nu-metal style.
Released 10 studio albums between Saliva (1997) and Revelation (2023). Commercial peak: Every Six Seconds (2001, featuring "Click Click Boom" and "Your Disease") and Back into Your System (2002, featuring the Nickelback collaboration "Always"). Wayne Swinny died of a brain hemorrhage in 2023.
