American rock band formed in Sterling, Virginia in 2008 (officially stylized RDGLDGRN, pronounced "red gold green," after the colors associated with Rastafarianism and African pride). Trio: Marcus Parham (vocals/guitar), Pierre Desrosiers (bass), and Andrei Busuioceanu (drums). Distinguished by their fusion of go-go, indie rock, and hip-hop.
Released Red Gold Green (2013, produced by Dave Grohl, who also played drums on the record) and Red Gold Green 2 (2017). The band has been intermittently active in the Washington, D.C. independent scene.
