American rock band formed in 1995 by Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir (b. October 16, 1947). Long-running lineup featured Rob Wasserman (bass, 1952-2016), Jay Lane (drums), and Jeff Chimenti (keyboards). Began as an acoustic duo with Wasserman before expanding to a touring band.
Released the studio album Evening Moods (2000) plus several live releases. Active touring 1995-2014, with sporadic shows since. Weir's subsequent projects include Furthur (2009-2014), Dead & Company (2015-present), and the Wolf Bros (2018-present).
