Backing orchestra led by English-American jazz pianist Ralph Sharon (1923-2015). Best known as Tony Bennett's longtime musical director and accompanist (1957-2002, with intermittent gaps).
Released numerous instrumental and accompaniment albums including The Ralph Sharon Trio (1957) and Modern Jazz Beat (1956). Sharon is the pianist credited with first showing Tony Bennett the demo of "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" (1962), which Sharon had found in his shirt pocket. Continued performing with Bennett into the early 2000s.
