American post-hardcore band formed in New York City in 1990. Vocalist/guitarist Walter Schreifels (formerly of Gorilla Biscuits) has been the band's primary creative force throughout. Lineup also includes guitarist Tom Capone, bassist Sergio Vega, and drummer Alan Cage.
Five studio albums between 1991 and 2024: Quicksand EP (1991), Slip (1993), Manic Compression (1995), Interiors (2017), and Distant Populations (2021). Disbanded in 1995 after Manic Compression; reunited in 2012 and have remained active since.
