American glam metal band formed in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in 1983. Classic lineup: Bret Michaels (vocals), C.C. DeVille (guitar), Bobby Dall (bass), and Rikki Rockett (drums). The lineup was largely stable except for a brief Richie Kotzen era (1991-1993).

Their 1986 debut Look What the Cat Dragged In and 1988 follow-up Open Up and Say... Ahh! both sold multi-platinum; the Flesh & Blood album (1990) and singles "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Nothin' but a Good Time" became signature tracks. Seven studio albums total. Michaels later starred in Rock of Love on VH1 (2007-2009).
