American rock band formed in Burlington, Vermont in 1983. Long-running lineup: Trey Anastasio (vocals/guitar), Mike Gordon (bass), Jon Fishman (drums), and Page McConnell (keyboards). The defining band of the post-Grateful Dead jam-band scene.
Fifteen studio albums between Junta (1989) and Evolve (2024). Distinguished by their improvisation-heavy live performances, devoted touring fanbase, and elaborate festival productions (the Clifford Ball, IT, the Big Cypress millennium show, Magnaball, etc.).
