Touring/recording band led by American Christian rock guitarist Phil Keaggy (b. March 23, 1951, Youngstown, Ohio). Keaggy is widely regarded as one of the most technically accomplished guitarists in Christian music; Eric Clapton has reportedly cited him as a favorite player.
The Phil Keaggy Band was a specific 1970s configuration that released Emerging (1977). Keaggy has subsequently released over 50 albums spanning solo electric, solo acoustic, instrumental, vocal pop-rock, and Christmas material. Best-known songs include "Time" (1976) and "Way Back Home" (1980).
