American punk rock band formed in Hermosa Beach, California in 1988. Original lineup: Jim Lindberg (vocals), Fletcher Dragge (guitar), Jason Thirsk (bass), and Byron McMackin (drums). Signed to Epitaph Records with their 1991 self-titled debut. Pioneers of the South Bay skate-punk sound alongside Bad Religion and the Offspring.
Key releases: Unknown Road (1993), About Time (1995), Full Circle (1997). Bassist Jason Thirsk died in 1996; Randy Bradbury replaced him. "Bro Hymn" became a signature track and a recurring sports-stadium anthem. Lindberg departed in 2009 (replaced by Zoli Téglás of Ignite) and rejoined in 2012. Thirteen studio albums total.
