American post-hardcore band formed in New York City in 1993. Long-running lineup centered on Chaka Malik (vocals, formerly of Burn) and Chris Traynor (guitar, later of Bush). Distinguished by their groove-oriented post-hardcore drawing on Quicksand and Helmet.
Released three studio albums between Driver Not Included (1995) and Pretend I'm Human (1999). Traynor subsequently joined Helmet, Bush, and Bad Brains touring lineups; Malik has performed solo and with Burn reunions.
