American ska-punk band formed in Berkeley, California in 1987 by Tim Armstrong (vocals/guitar) and Matt Freeman (bass). Lineup completed by Jesse Michaels (vocals) and Dave Mello (drums). Foundational to the East Bay punk scene; Lookout! Records initially formed around the band.
Released one studio album: Energy (1989), plus the Hectic EP (1988). The band dissolved in May 1989 just as Energy was about to be released. Armstrong and Freeman went on to form Rancid; Michaels later led Common Rider. The band's influence on the ska-punk and skate-punk revivals of the 1990s was substantial.
