American rock band formed in Chicago in 1998. Long-running lineup: Damian Kulash (vocals/guitar), Tim Nordwind (bass), Dan Konopka (drums), and Andy Ross (guitar, since 2005). Distinguished by elaborately choreographed music videos that have repeatedly gone viral, including the original "A Million Ways" (2005), "Here It Goes Again" (2006, the treadmill video), and "This Too Shall Pass" (2010, the Rube Goldberg machine).
