American punk rock band formed in Sunnyvale, California in 1987. Long-running lineup centered on the late Tony Sly (vocals/guitar, 1970-2012). Distinguished by Sly's melodic punk songwriting and the band's long association with Fat Wreck Chords.
Seven studio albums between Incognito (1990) and The Feel Good Record of the Year (2008). Critical peak: Leche con Carne (1995), Making Friends (1997), and More Betterness! (1999). Sly died of an apparent accidental drug overdose in 2012 at age 41; the band dissolved.
