American garage rock band formed in San Diego in 1984. Long-running lineup centered on Leighton Koizumi (vocals). Style draws on 1960s-style garage rock and proto-punk in the vein of the Chocolate Watchband and the Seeds.
Released the influential Emerge (1985) and several subsequent albums after various reunions and lineup changes. Koizumi later formed the Gravedigger V and the Hangee V. The band remains intermittently active.
