Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1978. Lineup: Colin Hay (vocals/guitar), Ron Strykert (guitar), Greg Ham (saxophone/flute/keyboards, died 2012), John Rees (bass), and Jerry Speiser (drums). Among the most commercially successful Australian acts of the early 1980s.
Three studio albums in the original era: Business as Usual (1981, featuring "Who Can It Be Now?" and "Down Under"), Cargo (1983), and Two Hearts (1985). Business as Usual spent 15 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200, the longest run by a debut album at the time. The band dissolved in 1985 and has reunited periodically since.
