American hardcore punk band formed in Lansing, Michigan in 1980. Long-running lineup centered on Tesco Vee (born Bob Vermeulen, vocals). Distinguished by deliberately offensive humor in their lyrics — frequently homophobic, racist, and scatological satire intended as transgressive comedy.
Released seven studio albums between We're the Meatmen... And You Suck! (1983) and Savage Sagas (2014). Vee also founded Touch and Go fanzine and the early Touch and Go Records imprint (later sold to Corey Rusk, who built it into the influential indie label).
