American singer and actor (born Marvin Lee Aday, 1947-2022). Distinguished by his powerful tenor voice, theatrical stage presentation, and long-running partnership with songwriter Jim Steinman.

Subsequent peaks: Bad Attitude (1984), Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell (1993, featuring "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)"), and Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose (2006). Also a notable actor — most famously as Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). Died in January 2022.
