American band formed in New York City in 1991. Lineup: Jill Cunniff (vocals/bass), Gabby Glaser (vocals/guitar), Kate Schellenbach (drums, also formerly of the Beastie Boys), and Vivian Trimble (keyboards, 1991-1998). Style fused hip-hop, indie rock, funk, and soul.
Three studio albums and an EP between 1992 and 1999, including Natural Ingredients (1994), Fever In Fever Out (1996, featuring "Naked Eye"), and Electric Honey (1999). Released primarily on the Beastie Boys' Grand Royal label. The band reunited in 2011 to record Magic Hour (2013), a children's album.
