British studio orchestra used primarily for soundtrack recordings and pops/classical crossover albums. The London Festival Orchestra has been credited on numerous film scores, exotica albums, and easy-listening recordings since the 1950s.
Not to be confused with the unrelated London Festival Orchestra founded in 1983 by Ross Pople (which focuses on traditional classical repertoire). The studio name has been used as a credit by various British orchestral session collectives.
