German industrial rock band formed in Paris in 1984 by Sascha Konietzko. Founding member En Esch and later collaborator Günter Schulz were long-term contributors. The band's name is an acronym for "Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid" — deliberately ungrammatical German often translated as "no pity for the majority."
Released 23 studio albums starting with Opium (1984). Konietzko has been the band's only continuous member. Active continuously aside from a 1999-2002 hiatus. Best-known releases include Nihil (1995), Symbols (1997), and WWIII (2003).
