American hip-hop duo formed in New York City in 1986. Lineup: Christopher "Kid" Reid (vocals, known for his high-top fade haircut) and Christopher "Play" Martin (vocals). Distinguished by their family-friendly, dance-oriented hip-hop and their crossover into film with the House Party franchise (1990-1994).
