American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter born Kevin Roosevelt Moore on October 3, 1951, in Compton, California. Distinguished by his country-blues fingerpicking style and his contemporary songwriting drawing on classic Delta blues forms.
Released over 15 studio albums starting with Keb' Mo' (1994). Five Grammy Awards including Best Contemporary Blues Album for Keb' Mo' (1997), Slow Down (1999), Keep It Simple (2005), Oklahoma (2020), and Good to Be... (2023). Played Robert Johnson in the documentary Can't You Hear the Wind Howl? (1997).
