Jimmy Buffett

American singer-songwriter (1946-2023). Best known for his "Gulf and Western" style — a fusion of country, folk-rock, and Caribbean music — and the cultural phenomenon of "Parrotheads," his devoted fan community. The 1977 single "Margaritaville" became a defining song.

Released over 30 studio albums starting with Down to Earth (1970). Built a substantial business empire — Margaritaville Holdings — encompassing restaurants, hotels, and consumer products. Buffett died in September 2023; Equal Strain on All Parts (2023) was released two months later.
