Jane’s Addiction

1 concert · 0 records

American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1985. Lineup: Perry Farrell (vocals), Dave Navarro (guitar), Eric Avery (bass), and Stephen Perkins (drums). Foundational to the alternative-rock explosion of the late 1980s and early 1990s; the band's 1991 dissolution led directly to Farrell's founding of the Lollapalooza festival.

Four studio albums between Jane's Addiction (1987, a live album) and The Great Escape Artist (2011). Commercial peak: Nothing's Shocking (1988) and Ritual de lo Habitual (1990, featuring "Been Caught Stealing"). The band has reunited several times; their 2024 reunion tour ended dramatically with an on-stage altercation between Farrell and Navarro.
