American rock band formed in New York City in 1997. Lineup: Paul Banks (vocals/guitar), Daniel Kessler (guitar), Sam Fogarino (drums, since 2000), and Carlos Dengler (bass, 1997-2010). Distinguished by their post-punk-revival sound during the early-2000s indie rock wave.
