American heavy metal band formed in Highland, California in 2009. Lineup: Jill Janus (vocals, 1975-2018, died), Blake Meahl (guitar), Anthony Crocamo (guitar, 2009-2014), Carl Wierzbicky (bass), and Eli Santana (guitar, since 2014). Janus's high operatic vocals were the band's most distinctive feature.
Three studio albums between Spell Eater (2012) and Static (2015). Janus died by suicide in August 2018, ending the band. She had been outspoken about her struggles with mental illness and physical health throughout her career.
