American ska band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. Distinguished by their adherence to traditional Jamaican ska and rocksteady styles rather than the punk-influenced "third-wave" sound dominant in the US during the same era. Lineup includes vocalists Greg Lee and Alex Désert plus a horns-heavy backing band.
Five studio albums between 1993 and 2016, including Out of Nowhere (1993), Scientific (1996), Right on Time (1998), and Push 'n Shove (2000). Toured extensively with the Hellcat Records roster (Rancid, the Slackers, the Aggrolites). Désert is also a working actor (the High Fidelity TV series, Becker).
