0 concerts · 1 record

Shortened name often used by Grand Funk Railroad, particularly during their 1973-1976 commercial peak when the band briefly dropped "Railroad" from their billing. American rock trio formed in Flint, Michigan in 1969.

Released multiple albums under the shortened name including Phoenix (1972), We're an American Band (1973, featuring the #1 title track), and Shinin' On (1974, featuring a cover of "The Loco-Motion"). The full lineup eventually re-adopted the original "Grand Funk Railroad" name. Inducted into Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999.
